What is The Swingle Family Foundation?

We are a nonprofit organization operating in New Jersey and Pennsylvania aiming to improve the lives of LGBTQ+ folks in the region.

The idea for our organization came about over a holiday dinner in 2022 between family members discussing gaps in the local LGBTQ+ community. By Christmas, a board had been formed and by Valentine's Day 2023, we received our official 501(c)(3) status.

We are working with other local organizations to assist with finding housing for LGBTQ+ youth who are unhoused due to their sexuality or gender identity. We are also committed to educating the community about STDs/STIs and prevention methods and expanding access to free testing. Additionally, we have our sights set on opening a community center. Here, we can further engage with our community and provide a safe space for LGBTQ+ folks to express themselves freely.
